The words we choose to use with our colleagues, friends, and family carry significant weight, especially when addressing sensitive topics like sexuality or gender. These discussions can be tricky, filled with the potential for confusion and concern about saying the wrong thing, particularly as the terminology for respectfully engaging with LGBTQIA+ topics, sexual orientation, and gender identity evolves.

In our pursuit of creating a more inclusive workplace where everyone can be themselves and flourish, it's crucial for all of us to actively participate. This Pride Month, we're shining a spotlight on LGBTQIA+ inclusive language in the workplace.

We understand that most people don’t have bad intentions when they use certain terms and phrases. But, the more inclusive we can be, the better everyone will feel collectively. Noticing the language we use day-to-day can make us more aware and encourage reflection on how we can embrace everyone.
